The Florida Trail is Florida's own National Scenic Trail, a 1,400-mile footpath from Big Cypress National Preserve just north of the Everglades to Fort Pickens on Pensacola Beach. One of eight National Scenic Trails in the United States, it offers a broad variety of hiking experiences, from easy day hikes on flat terrain to rugged backpacking trips through gorges and ravines where mountain laurel bloom. Connecting natural lands throughout Florida, the Florida Trail offers a place to immerse in Florida's unique and diverse habitats.
